carreon 02On June 29 God received his beloved daughter, Susana, into his arms and welcomed her into eternal life. We are saddened by our loss but can rejoice in the promises of the Resurrection and because she lived and was such an intimate and amazing part of our lives, her love, her kindness and her caring manner will be treasured forever.

Susie was a true Christian and a servant of God, showing love to her family and to people from all walks of life. She graciously and generously shared her time, her talent, and her treasure. She was the silent strength, the prayerful warrior, and the soft light in the distance and up close that brought many to the Lord and blessed their achievements.

carreon 01Susie was born on May 24, 1925 in Hanover, New Mexico to Felipe and Pomposa Esparza. She was the youngest of eight children. Susie married Erasmo Carreon in 1948. Together, with prayer, love, and support they raised their family of five and provided a home and care for Erasmo's Mother, Doña Francisca Carreon.

Alongside her husband, Susie was an active participant in many organizations and Ministries at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard. Susie demonstrated unconditional love to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: Ray (Gregoria), Tony (Mary), Robert (Rosemary), Lydia (Dan Sanchez) and Betty (Rudy Jacquez). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings; Andres, Agripina, Antonio, Margarito, Vicenta, Jovita and Luis and her son-in-law David Conway.

Her light has dimmed but she leaved many to carry the torch of love and peace. Rest in peace Mom. We love you
