Stella Lopez Lucero, 81, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in El Paso, TX. She was born October 3, 1938 in Gila, NM to Mariano Lopez and Celedonia Chavez Lopez. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt.  She loved and enjoyed watching and listening to Western movies and Spanish music; but most of all she loved her family. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by four daughters, Lorraine Madrid (Arnold) of Silver City; Emily Lucero of Silver City; Jean Lucero of Silver City; Irma Lucero of Silver City; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Mariano Lopez of Silver City; Fernando Chavez of CA; five sisters, Katie Kincheloe of Silver City; Toni Vasquez (Sam) of CA; Rose Gutierrez of CA; Virginia Marin (Teddy) of Silver City; Samantha Cooper (Greg) of CA; several nieces and nephews. No service will be held per family request.  Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
