christopher copyColeman Dewayne Christopher (Bud) 82 was born in Dickens, Texas on July 21, 1937 and went home to our Lord on July 8, 2020. Bud was a kind and loving man who never met a stranger and also gave the greatest hugs. He loved his family and truly loved people. Bud was a foreman for 26 years for Kennecott Copper Corporation. Bud was a machinist and a mechanic by trade, and he co-owned C & C Auto for many years. He was very proud of the fact that he helped build the Mesa Campground at Lake Roberts where in his later years he enjoyed camping with family and friends. Bud had many interests in his lifetime including fishing, camping, hunting, and shooting archery, and guns. He was always tinkering on something, whether it was a vehicle or making some sort of jewelry, or remodeling something around the house. Bud spent many memorable trips fishing and camping with his family and friends. Bud was a very devout Christian and loved his church family. But his greatest love was Lynette and his family. Bud worked at many places through his years and had many stories to share.

He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bud is survived by his wife Lynette of 37 plus years, 1 brother Ronnie Christopher (Lois) OK. 7 children Mike Christopher (Donna Kay) Silver City, Steve Christopher (Donna Mae) Ruidoso, Carol Moon (David) Silver City, Joy Baker (Jason) Phoenix, Mark Phillips (Vicki) Phoenix, Darren Phillips, Hurley, and Melora Lager, Albuquerque. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law, and two sisters. Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ 1920 Little Walnut Road at 2 pm on Saturday,  July 25, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of Bright Funeral Home, "A loving and caring place to celebrate, honor, and remember a life lived." 210 W. College Avenue, Silver City, NM  (575) 388-1911.
