perrault 01Raymond Richard Perrault left this world after 77 years on Friday October 23, 2020 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born to Alfred Oliver Perrault II and Esther Caballero Perrault on August 28, 1943 in Santa Rita, NM. Raymond grew up in Mimbres, New Mexico on the Perrault Cattle Ranch. He attended Cobre High School and went onto serve in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant. He then went onto attend Western New Mexico University to achieve two degrees. He was an Entrepreneur all his life and obtained very successful businesses.

He was the station manager at the Me Own work center where he spent numerous years fighting fires in the Gila National Forest. He retired from the Grant County Sheriff’s Department after twenty years of service. He was a wonderful husband of 49 years and blessed father of nine. Raymond was devoted Catholic and lived a life that kept him close to God and the great outdoors. This included packing horses on hunts into the Gila wilderness with his family and participating in Cursillos.  

Raymond is survived by his wife Mary Esther, and their nine children, 35 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. His children include Brandon Perrault, Darlene (Gabriel) Gavaldon, Lynette (Reuben) Holguin, Helene (Gabriel) Holguin, Alfred Oliver (Alexandra) Perrault III, Raymond Emmanuel (Kozue) Perrault, Adrian Peter Perrault Sr., Laramie St. Michael (Michelle) Perrault, and Estere (Ruben) Lucero. 

 Raymond is survived also by his brothers and sisters. Anthony Perrault. Mary Elizabeth Montoya, Esther Alcala, Patricia Dominguez, Joe Perrault, Jeanette Madrid. Helen Luna, Consuelo Rice, Clara Rosales, John Perrault, Virginia Grace, (deceased) and Priscilla Cruz. 

Father Martin will officiate services at Santa Clara Catholic Church on Thursday October 29 at 11:30 followed by his burial at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery at 1pm. Pallbearers will be his five sons and his grandson. Brandon Perrault, Alfred O. Perrault, Raymond E. Perrault, Adrian Peter Perrault, Laramie St. Michael Perrault, and Nathaniel Lucero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Martinez, Gabriel Gavaldon, Gabriel Holguin, Reuben Holguin, and Ruben Lucero. Due to COVID restrictions there will not be a reception.
