jjgonzalesJeremy Jason Gonzales, 38, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Banner University in Phoenix, AZ. He was born May 14, 1983 in Silver City to Steve Madrid Gonzales and AnnMarie Alvarez.

Jeremy served in the Army as an Infantryman where he fought in the war in Iraq receiving many accommodations including a Purple Heart for Valor. He and his wife Christy bought Ironworks 24-7 Fitness in October of 2014 where together they built a family gym where members had a place to strengthen their bodies but also strengthen every aspect of life. Jeremy started Strongman competitions here in Grant County in which this year will be the 4th Annual Strongman Competition.

He was the Co State Representative for United States Strongman Association for New Mexico where he coached and led a team to many victories all over the United States. In addition, he was a 4th Degree Black Belt with the Universal Kenpo Federation under the leadership of his Grand Master, Michael Pick. He instructed many, many Kenpo students over the years to include a kids’ class he taught every week at Ironworks. He was a soldier, warrior, husband, father, son, brother and friend. He touched the lives of so many individuals and left a huge legacy that his wife daughters, family and brothers will continue to carry on.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christy Gonzales of the family home; his mother, AnnMarie Ramirez and husband Danny of Las Cruces; four daughters, Ashley “Sissy” Gonzales, Analeya “Mouse” Gonzales, Angela “Bugsy” Gonzales, and Alexis “Bunny” Gonzales all of Silver City; one sister, Desiree M. Gonzales of Chandler, AZ; nephew, Oz Sadoway of Chandler, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Life Service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23 at 1pm at the family home, 15 Coye Lane in Silver City, NM.
