Leroy William Dean, 59, resident of Tempe, AZ entered eternal rest Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Temple St. Luke’s in Tempe, AZ. He was born February 17, 1962 in Silver City to Manuel Dean and Veneranda Sandoval Dean. 

 He served in the U.S Navy from September 1981 to December of 1988. He was employed at Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration and was a nutrition and food service worker. 

Leroy enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Nellie D Dean; his son, Eric Dean of Las Cruces; 3 step children Aimee, Elizabeth and Robert Jr. Reyes; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; four brothers, Charlie Dean of Santa Clara; Freddie Dean and wife Stella of Bayard; Ervine Dean and wife Zita of Thornton, CO; Patrick Dean and wife Lydia of Albuquerque; three sisters, Josephine Prislan of Deming; Carolina Telles and husband Henry of  Las Cruces; and Lillian Dean and companion Fernando Padilla of Las Cruces.

A Memorial service will be celebrated on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 12noon at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. Concluding service and inurnment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
