Victor Morales Padilla, 64, of Bayard, New Mexico, entered eternal rest unexpectedly Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his home. Victor was born August 29, 1957 To Gilbert J. Padilla and Irene Morales Padilla in Silver City, New Mexico. At the age of 9 yrs he went to live with his Grandmother Antonia J Wright and husband Walter Wright in San Joaquin Valley in Firebaugh, California where he was raised on a ranch. He played the drums in his high school band. He also had private piano lessons. He traveled to Switzerland and Paris, France to perform in a marching parade. He graduated from Dos Palos Union High School in 1976 and returned back to Silver City, NM right after. He then Graduated from the Police Academy in Silver City, NM.

He was an extraordinary man with many talents, hard-working and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Anyone who was fortunate to know him It would remember him by his sense humor, that he was the light of any room he entered, most importantly how big his heart was and how much he cared and helped everyone.

He is survived by his Wife Gail Flores Padilla of 45 years, Two daughters Christy Caroline Flores Padilla of Las Cruces, NM; Vanessa Marie Padilla Flores and husband Gabriel Flores of Silver City, NM; two sons Giovanni Victor Padilla of Las Cruces, NM; Victor Brandon Padilla of Silver City, NM; Five Granddaughters Brittanie Chavez (Christopher) of Las Cruces, NM; Aleisha Chavez and (Harley) of Las Cruces, NM; Kailynn Chavez (Daniel) of Las Cruces, NM; Everleigh Padilla Chavez and Rayne Christine Serano of Las Cruces, NM; Two Grandson Leland Declan Flores and Lennox Dimitri Flores of Silver City, NM ; Three great granddaughters Elyana; Ariel and Jazmine; four great grandson Christopher; Jared; Isai and Zavian; Mother Irene Padilla; Five brothers Toby Padilla of Silver City, NM; Andy Padilla and wife Patricia of Phoenix, AZ; Rudy Padilla (Eileen Flores) of Silver City, NM; Gilbert Padilla of Silver City, NM; Richard Padilla of Silver City, NM and many Nephews and Nieces.

Preceded in death with Father Gilbert J. Padilla and Sister Deborah " Debbie" Jean Lopez; paternal Grandparents, Juan Y. Padilla and Antonia J. Wright; maternal grandparents, Luis D. Morales and Leonor S. Morales.

Visitation will be Friday, January 21 from 10-10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with the holy rosary being recited by Father Martin Okonkwo to commence at 10:30am. The funeral mass will follow at 11:30am with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating. Pallbearers are Giovanni Padilla, Victor B. Padilla, Gabriel Flores, Chris Escalante, Alfred Chavez, Harley Zamora, and Daniel Sanchez. Concluding service cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
