Ronald "William" Whitley, August 18, 1959, was born in Carlsbad N.M. to Ronald and Bessie Whitley. By the age of thirteen William was passionate about building and racing custom motorcycles in Silver City. William became an extremely gifted, and knowledgeable mechanic. He was the service manager for Mercedes-Benz in Las Cruces for ten years, and went on to own, and operate a restoration shop: Next Day Paint & Body, where he specialized in corvettes.

William was a dedicated and loving father of three. He was "PaPa" to five grandchildren. He trained and coached his two sons, Jereme and Josh in Motor Cross. When he wasn't working, he was drag racing, at the lake, or attending his beautiful daughter Danyelle's pageants. These were the best years of his life. He loved his family more than anything and loved making them happy.

William had so much more life to live, instead on May 4, 2022 he was tragically taken from us. We are all devastated over our loss. He will forever be loved and missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Elizabeth Logan of the family home; two sons, Jereme Kyle Whitley of Sacramento, CA; Joshua Lee Whitley Sr. of Sacramento, CA; one daughter, Danyelle Whitley of Las Cruces, NM; five grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Cody, Madison, Kayleigh, and Bailey; step-children, James Logan Victoria Logan, and Vana Logan; two sisters, Donna Whitley of Silver City; Aletha Whitley of Roswell, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Whitley.
