guygutierrezGuy Anthony Gutierrez, Sr, 52, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1970 in Silver City, NM to Roman Gutierrez and Olga Jaurequi.  

He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest, he was the type of person who would go out of his way to help friends or anyone in need, he loved his family his grandma was his everything. He enjoyed taking care of her yard and taking her on trips when she wanted to go. He loved his mom and his stepdad Fred he had a special bond with him that he held close in his heart. He loved his sisters, nieces and nephews, his pride and joys were his kids and grandkids, he couldn't believe the love he felt for his grandkids, he would say I never thought I could love someone more than my kids, but my grandbabies amaze me, his grandkids loved him. He also had a special aunt he loved very much Yolanda Gutierrez.

He will be greatly missed by everyone. He was a die-hard 49ers fan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved going to concerts and casinos and just hanging out, he was a hard worker, and loved being in the mountains chopping wood l, his passion and his love of his life was his bike. He getting on and just riding he said he felt free.

He is survived by his mother Olga Jaurequi and step father Fred Sauceda of Albuquerque, NM; his babe Amy Montes of San Lorenzo, NM; his two sons Guy Gutierrez Jr. (D’Maria) of Hurley, NM and Michael Ruben Chavirria (Andrea) of Albuquerque, NM; his four daughters, Hayley Gutierrez of Hurley, NM, Alexis Gutierrez of Hurley, NM, Danica Dozier of Alamagordo, NM and Kaitlyn Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; his three sisters, Marie Yniguez (Carla) of Albuquerque, NM, Bertha Grijalva and Sonia Cooper; his seven grandchildren, Anthony Ray, Guy III, Za’Nyah, Divinity, Vincent, Emilia Sophia and Miguel. He is preceded in death by his father Roman Gutierrez; his two brothers Robert Gutierrez and Jamie Gutierrez; his grandfather, Ignacio Jaurequi and his uncle Mike Gutierrez.  

Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 4:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels officiated by Deacon Art Gutierrez.  Inurnment will follow service at Santa Clara Cemetery.
