Billye M. Moore, 89, a resident of Hurley, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her residence. She was born on February 9, 1933 to her parents, Flossie (Brown) and Thomas F. Vaughan, in Quemado, NM.  

Billye married her first husband Thomas Williams on May 26, 1952. Later she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in 1962 and immediately began teaching at Hurley Elementary School as a 2nd Grade teacher. While teaching she also earned her Master of Arts in 1966. After retiring from teaching, she even started to work on getting a pilots license.  

She is survived by her daughter Chrisanda Stein (Bernard) of Long Beach, CA; her two brothers, Stanley Vaughan (Diane) of Hurley, NM and Michael Vaughan (Gerrie) of Mimbres, NM. She is preceded in death by her first spouse, Thomas Williams, her second spouse, James E. Moore; her parents; her one brother Ted Vaughan. 

A Direct Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:00am at Fort Bayard National Cemetery to be laid to rest with her first spouse, Thomas Williams. The family will be also have a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00pm at Arise Community Church (located at 2 Arroyo Seco, Silver City , NM) with Pastor Cody Landers officiating.
