Manuela Placencio Peru, 81, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Sunset Vista Assisted Living in Silver City, NM.  Manuela was born on March 18, 1941 to her parents Eduardo and Mariana Placencio in Gila, NM.  

She is survived by one son, Eulalio “Lew” Peru from Silver City, NM; three grandchildren, Gary, Marissa, and Jimisha; nine great grandchildren, Samuel, Arianna, Ezekiel, Amira, Landon, Zavien, Nevaeh, Zaviah, and Vincent; three brothers, Francisco Placencio (Consuelo) of Tucson, AZ; Merejildo Placencio (Lupe) of Silver City; Eduardo Placencio (Cesaria) of Silver City; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulalio “Lalo” C. Peru; son Samuel “Sam” P. Peru; two brothers, Santiago and Carlos Placencio; two sisters, Ernestina Cook, and Josie Placencia. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00pm-6:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels, with the Prayer Vigil and Rosary at 6:00pm, recited by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating. Concluding Rite of Committal, interment will follow at Gila Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gary Peru, Alfred Lewis, Brian Polanco, Eduardo Placencio, Trustin Ponce, Samuel Peru, and Xzaydrian Peru.
