...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 10 AM MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 expected.

* WHERE...Upper Gila River Valley, Southern Gila Highlands/Black
Range, West Slopes Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet,
Sacramento Mountains Above 7500 Feet and East Slopes
Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet Counties.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 10 AM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Don't forget to protect pets from these freezing
temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... For most locations, this will be the first
freeze of the season.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing. Provide warmth for
outdoor pets.
