.Light snowfall accumulations possible above 7500' for Thursday...

More rain combined with a cold front is expected early tomorrow
morning across the Gila with snow levels above 9000'. As cooler
air continues to filter in snow levels will gradually drop to
around 7500' before rain and/or snow ends across the area around
mid-day except for the occasional snow shower. A similar pattern
is expected across the Sacramento Mountains but with rain starting
around early to mid-afternoon with rain or snow ending mid-to-late

Across both locations, 1-3 inches of slushy snow will be possible
for locations above 7500', including Emory Pass and Cloudcroft,
with higher totals over 9000'. The timing for rain to change from
snow is uncertain. A quicker transition will allow for heavier
snowfall totals while a slower transition will lead to lower
totals. Regardless, minor impacts to travel look possible across
the Gila during the late morning and early afternoon hours and
during the evening hours across the Sacramento Mountains.

Except for a few isolated rain and snow showers, most
precipitation should end by midnight Friday. Temperatures will
remain below freezing in the mountains through sunrise Friday, so
black ice will be possible especially on any untreated roads.
