The strong and gusty southwesterly winds will combine with low relative humidity below 15%, and above normal temperatures. This will result in elevated to critical fire weather conditions for portions of southwestern and south-central New Mexico.

The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has
issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday
morning through Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 110, 111 and west of the San
Andres Mountains in Fire weather zone 112.

* WIND...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
