Maintenance/Mechanic Worker Vacancy

The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker/Mechanic. Duties include but not limited to working on water leaks, unplugging sewer lines, reading meters, street maintenance, heavy equipment operation, maintaining the water and sewer system, parks and recreation maintenance and any other duties related to municipal maintenance and operations. Basic mechanic skills are required but not limited to performance of general auto maintenance (tune up, brakes, oil changes).

Applicant must posses a current New Mexico Drivers License and be able to lift objects of at least 75 pounds. Water and/or wastewater certification recommended but not required.

Applications may be picked up at the Bayard City Hall, 800 Central Avenue in Bayard, NM and should be returned by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016. Late applications will not be accepted. Final selection will be made at the Councils discretion.
