The Gila Monster is coming. This is the one everybody runs to, not away from - the grueling final stage of the Tour of the Gila road cycling race, with the finish line outside the Buckhorn Saloon in Pinos Altos on Sunday, May 4.

That same day is the third day of the 2014 Members Only Show in the Pinos Altos Art Gallery, located just three blocks from the finish line in the historic Hearst Church.

The show sponsors, the Grant County Art Guild, want the public to know that special access has been provided to the church this year, thanks to the Tour sponsors and the Grant County Sheriff's Department. At the intersection of Main and Bear Creek Road (a block south from the Buckhorn), turn left and go up Main until you get to the church. Return to the downtown area the same way. And, if you don't want to fight the traffic, it's an easy walk from the finish line. Stop by and see fine arts and crafts from dozens of local artists.
