Gilawriters Expressive Writing Group-2:00-4:00pm, Silver City Library

Writers of all levels are invited to participate, free of charge, at the Silver City Library, in a weekly, safe and positive writing environment. All writing is done in the group setting. Poetry and the Provost-6:30pm, WNMU Miller Library

The public is invited free of charge to hear Dr. Jack Carter, WNMU's new Provost, read his poetry in one of the first of over 30 pre-Festival and Festival events for the Southwest Festival of the Written Word in downtown Silver City Sept 27-29. Poetry and the Provost will be held at WNMU's Miller Library on the 3rd floor of the Student Memorial Building. For more information, call 575-654-6803.

The Southwest Festival of the Written Word in downtown Silver City NM, Friday September 27-Sunday September 29, is free and open to readers and writers of all ages, except for the Ana Castillo Writing Memoir workshop and the Festival Banquet.
