Eight German Solar Companies to Visit New Mexico
Albuquerque, NM - The German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) Office for the Western United States, located in San Francisco will be leading a mission of eight German solar energy sector companies to Albuquerque on April 3-4, 2014. New Mexico solar companies are cordially invited to attend an industry matchmaking event which will be held on Friday, April 4th at the Albuquerque UNM Science Park Rotunda from 9:00 am to noon.

Renewable Energy Course
The New Mexico Green Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with Los Alamos National Labs and NMSBA on a 3 day course focused on renewable energy development. April 19th, 26th and May 3rd9:00am-4:00pm at UNM Anderson School of Management The objective of the course is to introduce the key concepts of renewable energy development, focusing on wind and solar resources. A three day course will be conducted by LANL, NMRETA, UNM and other staff at UNM's campus in Albuquerque during October 2013. This course will interpret findings from renewable studies to empower attendees to utilize and effectively communicate technical information to developers, state agencies and other market players.
In order to register, you must be an owner or employee of a for-profit small business located in New Mexico. NMSBA cannot provide assistance to government employees or nonprofit entities. There are no formal prerequisites for this course. Attendees should be able to interpret basic technical information such as charts, graphs and numeric tables. All technical terms will be defined and discussed during training sessions. Slide material will be provided to all attendees, for later reference. This course will involve hands-on teamwork to develop a renewable site assessment using readily available wind and solar resource data, and related information. A generic assessment report will be posted at the course website for on-line reading, also a handout copy will be provided as an in-class reference.
