The winner of the "God, Country and Constitution" essay contest sponsored by the Silver City / Grant Count TEA Party Patriots is Chloe Maxwell. Ms. Maxwell is a senior at Cliff High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Maxwell.

Ms. Maxwell will be honored at the Tuesday, May 6, meeting of the SC/GC TEA Party Patriots to be held at the Red Barn, where she will present her essay and be awarded the $500 prize.

The meeting starts at 6:00 PM at the Red Barn Steakhouse, and the public is invited. Doors open at 5:00 for those wishing a meal.

The essay contest was open to all college-bound seniors in Grant County.
