The Town and Country Garden Club has completed its seasonal turnaround from summer to winter clothing and will be open as usual from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The turnaround was accomplished by several members of the Garden Club who also did a top-to-bottom cleaning of the newly remodeled store.

The thrift store, located at 606 N. Bullard for more than forty years, is a non-profit shop that re-sells donated clothes, housewares, and other small items, and uses the sales income to sponsor beautification projects in Silver City and improvements for the quality of life in Grant County. Annually, grant money is channeled through other local non-profit organizations for public service activities and for WNMU scholarships. The Thrift Store is managed and operated by volunteer members and provides an economical place to shop for "lovingly used " items.
