Senior Jubilee-October 14, 2014, 9:00-2:00, Grant County Extension Office 2610 N. Silver St., Silver City, NM. This unique program, developed by a rural NM senior resident, is spreading across New Mexico under the auspices of the NM Behavioral Health Services Division, NM Human Services Department. Now in its fifth year, Senior Jubilees highlight the health needs of our rural seniors by holding 5 hour mini-health conferences. Seniors are honored and celebrated for the day, with speakers on a variety of health topics and a complimentary luncheon. There is no cost to seniors. Presentations are informal and invite active participation with our speakers. Participants are given a folder with handouts on health topics to keep for future reference. Networking is encouraged as well as participation by agencies from all levels of government, improving pipelines of communication.
