GRANT COUNTY ROLLING STONES GEM & MINERAL SOCIETY MEETING
Our meeting speaker this month will be Mary Dowse, Professor of Geology at WNMU who will give a presentation on the Geologic History of Grant County.

Our meetings always start with a Potluck Dinner. Please bring your own service ware and a dish to share. The dinner starts at 6 pm with the meeting at 6:45 pm at the Silver City Senior Center, 204 W. Victoria Street in Silver City. 534-1393, www.rollingstonesgms.blogspot.com.

GRANT COUNTY ROLLING STONES GEM & MINERAL SOCIETY FIELD TRIP
This month we will be traveling to visit the Steeple Rock Mining District located about 60 miles from Silver City on the New Mexico/Arizona state line. Collectable material will include green and white fluorite and some rock material which may be lapidary grade. This is a historic mining district and includes an active gold and silver mine, The Summit mine. Some walking over uneven terrain is to be expected. Please bring water, lunches, chairs, camera and small hand tools. Meet at the Grant County Visitor Center on Hudson Street at 8 a.m. We will leave at 8:30 a.m
