Planning is underway now for Saturday, December 13, 2014, when members of the Grant County Community will gather once again to honor veterans during the holiday season as part of the annual Wreaths Across America Day. This ceremony will be held at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

It is projected that this year over 550,000 wreaths will be placed nationwide at over 950 participating locations all across the United States including Arlington National Cemetery. The mission of Wreaths Across America, a 501©3 organization, is to REMEMBER, HONOR, and TEACH. Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve including their families who sacrifice, and Teach our children the cost of the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Won't you please join other individuals, organizations, and businesses who/which are helping by sponsoring wreaths to place at Ft. Bayard Cemetery markers this December? Each wreath costs $15.00. However, for every two wreaths purchased/sponsored, an additional third wreath will be donated to the Ft. Bayard Cemetery.

To order a wreath(s) via the organizational form or to secure additional information, please call Mary, 538-2626, or Frank, 574-0361. Specific grave/marker requests again will be honored. Wouldn't it be wonderful if every marker at Ft. Bayard could have a wreath over the Christmas holidays this year?
