Girls' Camp RYLA participants enjoying camaraderie.

The Rotary Club of Silver City is seeking talented, enthusiastic student leaders to apply to attend the 2015 Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Camp next July. RYLA is an intensive week-long training camp that brings together youth and adults to develop character and foster leadership, expand self-confidence, share career information and skills, promote friendship and fellowship and learn more about Rotary. The main goal of the camp is to develop lifelong leadership skills through teamwork, motivation and communication while focusing on each student's individual strengths and abilities.

Successful applicants are high school juniors who have excelled in one or more areas of high school involvement and who have proven leadership potential. Selected campers will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Silver City and will be able to attend RYLA at no cost to the individual student's family.

In 2015, Boys' RYLA camp will be held on July 12 to July 18, and Girls' RYLA Camp will be held July 18- July 24. The application form is available in the youth/leadership section of the Rotary Club web site at www.silvercityrotary.org Completed applications must be submitted to Kevin Cook, Silver City Rotary Club RYLA Coordinator, by January 15, 2015.
