Please join the next community hike facilitated by the Grant County Trails Group and the Fitness and Nutrition in Community Group this Sunday, April 12th, 1:00p.m. to 3:30p.m. The hike will be held at the Gomez Peak Picnic Area Trailhead. Directions: Travel North on Little Walnut Road approximately four miles. Meet in the Gomez Peak Trailhead parking lot on the left hand side of the road.

This forest trail winds along under tall pine trees with stunning views so bring your cameras.

The trail varies in difficulty between minimal incline to high incline. Public restrooms, picnic tables, shade, and water fountains are available at the picnic area. A Word of Caution: This hike may be a little more challenging than the last five. You should always speak to your doctor before starting or stopping any part of your healthcare plan, including physical activity, or other exercise. Consider asking a partner to join you on these hikes for support.

P. S. don't forget April is 'Grant County Trails month' and there will be a 'Trail Fest' celebration with numerous activities in downtown Silver City on Saturday.
