"Same-Sex Marriage: Did Love Win," will engage an expert panel at the Thursday, 6 pm, forum sponsored by Western New Mexico University's Miller Library and MecHA, as well as by the Grant County Democratic Party, according to Magdaleno Manzanarez, forum program director.

"Panel members will use their own perspectives as they analyze the effects of the recent Supreme Court decision, requiring recognition of same-sex marriage," says Manzanarez.

Mary Hotvedt, assistant professor of anthropology, will moderate the panel. Participating in the session will be the Rev. Anthony Basso, chaplain, St. Francis Newman Center; the Rev. Tyler Connoley, minister, Silver City United Church of Christ; Alicia Edwards, director, Volunteer Center of Grant County and Joe Saide, president, the LGBT Grant County Association.

The public is invited to the discussion, one of a free series covering public issues, held in the J. Cloyd Miller Library. A light meal is offered following the program.
