Gila / Mimbres Community Radio & KURU 89.1 FM are proud to announce our Fall Pledge Drive on Thursday October 15th and Friday October 16th from 6:45 am to 8 pm, and Saturday October 17th from 7:45 am til 6 pm.

GMCR & KURU are primarily member supported and twice a year we will take to the airwaves to remind our current members and encourage new members to Step Up! and support GMCR and KURU as we present the most eclectic music selection, the most diverse public affairs programming, the most progressive Spanish language programming, and the best locally produced programs and Live DJs in Southwest New Mexico.

We particularly wish to thank the growing number of major donors that have Stepped Up! with Challenge Donations of $250, $500 and $1,000 dollars and invite multiple listeners to match their donations in the aggregate and thus double the amounts of those challenge donations.

All proceeds will accrue to the benefit of GMCR / KURU in support of its operations and programming.

The pledge drive coincides with GMCR's 10th anniversary of GMCR's genesis and follows more than 3 years of 24/7 webcasting and the approach of two years of FM broadcast at 10,500 watts - the 2nd strongest signal in Grant county, reaching Lordsburg, Deming and surrounding areas and providing coverage to approximately 45,000 residents throughout the region.
