The Silver City Public Library will be offering extra activities for children and youth during Silver Schools fall break, October 19-24. There will be instructions and materials for a fall craft available in the children's area for families to create together anytime that the library is open. Youth in middle school and high school are invited to complete four squares in a row on the fall break youth bingo card, which contains a variety of internet and information challenges. Each bingo card submitted will count as an entry into the fall break youth prize drawing. Three winners will get prize bags containing goodies. Bingo cards can be picked up at the library starting Monday, October 19 and must be returned to the library before 2:00pm on Saturday, October 24.

In addition, several regularly-scheduled activities will be happening at the library during fall break week. These include storytime for preschoolers and families on Wednesday at 10:30am, and Lego Club for children ages 4-9 on Wednesday at 4:00pm. WildWorks for youth ages 10 and up will be Thursday, October 22, 4:00-6:00pm. This is a space for tweens and teens to hang out and experiment with robots, electrical circuits, 3D drawing, kinetic art, computer programming, and other hands-on activities.

All these library activities are free, no registration necessary. The library is located at 515 West College Avenue, on the corner of College Avenue and Cooper Street. Library hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm.
