Next Sunday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City, 3845 North Swan Street, retired UU librarian David Kent will talk about his experience attending the Parliament of the World's Religions in Salt Lake City.

The Parliament of the World's Religions was held Oct. 15-19, 2015. Attending were 10,000 people from 50 major world religions, from 80 countries. The 2015 Parliament was the first to have an Inaugural Women's Assembly. Its theme was "Reclaiming he Heart of Our Humanity: Working Together for a World of Compassion, Peace, Justice and Sustainability."

The Parliament of the World's Religions is the oldest, the largest, and the most inclusive gathering of people of all faiths and traditions. The first Parliament took place in 1893.
