Each year, the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society participates in Give Grandly, a day when local 501 (c) 3 nonprofits come together to encourage a culture of giving. This year's Give Grandly event is coming up on Saturday, May 14, and we need your help to make it a success for Fort Bayard.

Give Grandly is an online fundraising effort complemented by a live event. This year, the live event will take place at the Silver City Farmer's Market from 8:30am to 2:30pm. Come by and visit the Society's table. This fundraiser emphasizes that supporting nonprofits is not just for people with lots of money - anyone can give in any amount.

Last year the Society had a good response to our request for donations. We want to make it happen again. We challenge every Fort Bayard supporter to recruit five people to donate to the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society during Give Grandly. Please reach out to your friends, family members, and colleagues and let them know the important role that the Society plays in seeking to restore and preserve Fort Bayard. The more personal your outreach to your network, the more successful you will be. We also ask that you share information about Give Grandly on your social media networks and in any other ways you can.

This year donated money will be used to rebuild the front steps to the museum. Depending on what we find as we start this project, this project may become very involved. We will also build an ADA ramp to the back door of the museum.

Giving is simple and here is how to do it. You can stop by the Silver City Farmer's Market on Saturday, May 14th, from 8:30 to 2:30, find the Society's table, and give in person. You can TEXT to: 41444 in the address box, and type in GǣgrandlyGǥ in the text message box, click on the UWSWNM link, choose an amount to give, select Grant County, scroll to Fort Bayard HPS and donate. Or finally, you can go to www.grantcountycommunityfoundation.org and donate.

We depend on Give Grandly and other fundraising efforts to provide support for the Society's mission. That's why we're asking you to Gǣgive grandlyGǥ. Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to help make Give Grandly 2016 a fantastic success.
