33rd Annual 4th of July Ice Cream Social
Monday, July 4 from 11 AM to 4 PM in the courtyard of the Silver City Museum after the 4th of July Parade. There will be games, crafts, music, sodas, water, and, of course, ice cream (floats and cones). The event is sponsored, in part, by Western Bank.

Brown Bag: Music from the Ranch and the Open Range with Steve Cormier
Saturday, July 16 from Noon to 1PM at the Silver City Museum Annex, 302 W. Broadway. Bring your lunch and come on down to hear Mr. Cormier's music and stories about old and traditional cowboy fare. Mr. Cormier is brought to us by the New Mexico Humanities Council.

Children's Activity - Clay Fun
Saturday, July 23 - 10:30 to 12 noon at the Silver City Museum, 312 W. Broadway. Kids of all ages come on by to make a Play-doh pot or plate. Etch a design with toothpicks using Mimbres designs as inspiration. See you here.

Dedication of the Plaque to Harry Benjamin
Thursday, July 28 - 10 am in the courtyard of the Silver City Museum, 312 W. Broadway. Come on by and help us dedicate this plaque to Harry Benjamin the first Curator of the Silver City Museum. The museum was opened in 1967 thanks to Mr. Benjamin, a local artist and visionary.

Oralia Lopez, artist and John Bezy, author
Saturday, July 30 - 10 am - 4 pm in the Silver City Museum Annex, 302 W. Broadway. Oralia will be demonstrating her unique and intricate painting technique. She will have a selection of work by many fine Mata Ortiz artists for purchase. John will give presentations about Mata Ortiz artistry at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.

Courtyard Sale
Saturday, July 30 - 10 am - 4 pm the Silver City Museum Store will have a courtyard sale. There will be many great book titles, jewelry, and one of a kind items on sale.
