The Nonprofit Resource Group is offering a free brown bag training on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from noon to 1 p.m. in the College Street Plaza Suite 5, 301 W. College Ave. NRG Senior Consultant, Lisa Jimenez will present on "Advocacy: Myth vs. Reality." Jimenez will discuss the difference between advocacy and lobbying, including tips on building a realistic and effective advocacy strategy. Participants can learn how to advocate on the behalf of their nonprofit's mission without violating Internal Revenue Service charitable regulations. This training is made possible by the support of the McCune Charitable Foundation.
