A variety of health screenings will be available on Tuesday and Thursday of next week at Grant County senior centers. Western New Mexico School of Nursing students will be administering the screenings as part of the program, "Helping Seniors Stay Healthy." On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, the nursing students will be offering health screenings from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gila, Santa Clara and Silver City Seniors Centers. On Thursday, December 1, 2016, the nursing students will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mimbres, Santa Clara and Silver City Senior Centers.

The program will return in 2017 with new dates, times and screenings so area seniors to learn more about their health. All the health screenings are free thanks to the support of Grant County, WNMU and Freeport McMoRan Foundation. For more information, call (575) 574-0035.
