May Meeting

Our meeting will be Thursday May 11, at the Silver City Senior Center, 204 W. Victoria Street. Stop by the greeters table as you come in to sign in. Our party pot luck dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Remember to bring your own plate, utensils, napkins and a dish to share. Our program for May will be Rolling Stones member Ron Root who will give a presentation on fossils from the Lake Valley area.

May Field Trip

Our field trip will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017. We will travel to the ghost town of Lake Valley. Lake Valley is a State Park that preserves the old ghost town of Lake Valley. We will visit the town site on our way to the collection sites. We will stop for glossy red, black and brown magnesium rocks and finally to a fossil crinoid collecting site.

Meet at the south side of the Walmart parking lot at 8 am to carpool.
