Silver City, NM - All Gila National Forest (Gila NF) offices and ranger stations will be closed on Monday, May 29. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, May 30.

Despite the office closure, fire personnel, law enforcement officers, and recreation staff will be on-duty on the Memorial Day holiday for the safety of visitors.

Fire restrictions have not been implemented on the Gila NF as of this date. Please keep in mind that campfires, charcoal, coal and wood stoves are permitted at this time, however explosives and fireworks are always prohibited on Forest Service lands.
