Meghan Casey and the Rocky Mountain Puppets from Denver, CO will be at the Public Library of Silver City for a free one time performance on Friday, July 21, 5:00pm. This is a special after-hours event. Meghan is a professional ventriloquist and the name of her show is Building a Better You. Kids will be motivated and inspired to absorb as much knowledge as possible by seeing that knowledge is the foundation that their future selves will be built upon. Family members of all ages are invited to enjoy this free event. No registration necessary.

Friday, July 21 is also the last day for summer reading program participants to turn in their reading logs for prizes. Completed reading logs must be turned in before 5:00pm on the 21st for participants to be eligible for the grand prize drawings. Grand prize drawings will take place at the end-of-summer party on Friday, July 28, 2:00pm. You do not have to be present to win, but winners who are present will be allowed to have the first opportunity to pick out their prize. Grand prizes are made possible by a grant from Walmart.
