Many of the works in this show, Resonant Fragments, incorporate fragments of prior pieces into new ones. This synthesis is a physical manifestation of an attempt to subsume ambiguity and attain clarity. The work is made through an activity of intense seeing: seeing into the depths of color, looking past outer distractions to meaning that resides within deconstructed forms, listening to the hum of murmuring color. A couple of the pieces are earlier thread works that have resurfaced after receiving renewed interest this year. It is gratifying to re-visit past pieces with new eyes; it is an integration that lays a foundation for moving forward.
