Silver City, NM, February 12, 2018: PFLAG Silver City is inviting the public to nominate individuals for the first annual Ally Award. This award will recognize a person who has worked to make Grant County a more welcoming and just place for LGBTQ people. The sexual orientation and gender identity of nominees is immaterial; what matters is their words and deeds and how they have made a positive difference.

In addition to the nominee’s name, please include a short paragraph explaining why this person should be considered for this award along with contact information so that PFLAG Silver City may interview them. There are two ways to submit nominations: email nominee’s name and info to diannepflag@gmail.com or mail it to PFLAG Silver City, PO Box 813, Silver City, NM 88062. Nominations must be received no later than March 2.
