Quemado, NM, April 30, 2018—For Immediate Release. The campgrounds in the Quemado Lake Recreation Area are scheduled to open on Tuesday, May 1.

While testing and pressurizing the water system in the Juniper Campground, a water leak was noticed. At this time, the campground will be open, however, many of the sites may not have potable water and some of the sites may be temporarily closed. District staff are working to fix this leak.

Water is available at Piñon Campground which is located approximately one-half mile away. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
