Come meet these Featured Artists of the Grant County Art Guild this weekend at the historic Hearst Church Gallery in Pinos Altos, just up Highway 15 from Silver City.

Keith Spangle grew up in a National Park Service family in such places as New Mexico, California, and overseas in Jordan and Turkey. He attended art school at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and thereafter pursued his oil painting while working various jobs on the side to pay rent. Early on he showed a fondness for fantasy and science-fiction subjects done in a realistic, illustrative style. Since moving to the silver City area in 2016, however, he has chosen to move on to more traditional landscape and wildlife themes. More of his work may be seen at: Keithspangle@Deviantart.com.

Stacy Schwarz is a creative clay artist from Gila, New Mexico. Her whimsical dragons are among her most popular pieces.

Hours to meet Keith or Stacy are 10:00-4:00 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you'd like to see an artist at work, Keith usually can be caught painting while at the gallery. He will be working Friday and Saturday. Stacy will be showing and discussing her pottery on Sunday.
