Hidalgo County, NM - On February 18, 2019 at 1:41 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a pedestrian that was fatally struck by a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) on Interstate 10 around mile post 10, west of Lordsburg. 

The initial investigation indicated a CMV was traveling east on Interstate 10. For reasons unknown a pedestrian, Brandon Ragulen (26) of Los Angeles, CA was struck in the middle of the roadway by the CMV.  He was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator.

The driver of the CMV, who will not be named, was not injured. The driver did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol and is not currently facing charges. 

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.
