Glenwood, NM, April 18, 2019 — The Catwalk National Recreation Trail, located on the Glenwood Ranger District, is open. There continues to be high water at both low water crossings. 

Please heed the following precautions:

• Navigate the low water crossing with four-wheel drive, high-clearance vehicles only
• Do not attempt to cross the road on foot.
• Look out for large debris in the channel. If there is large rocks or debris in the channel, do not attempt the crossing. 

The Glenwood Ranger District is visually monitoring the water flow and the USGS Current Conditions for Streamflow. The weather predictions for the upcoming weekend includes warm, dry weather which could contribute to the snow pack melting and add more water to the streams.
