March 19, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – “Give Grandly”

Bernadette Smyth from the Grant County Community Foundation will talk about Give Grandly, the county’s annual non-profit fundraising day. The Give Grandly Coalition is a group of local nonprofits who work together, along with the Grant County Community Foundation, to present Grant County’s annual giving day each May. 100% of donations made to each nonprofit on Give Grandly day go to the designated nonprofit.

This year, Give Grandly will occur on Saturday, May 6. Smyth will also talk about civic engagement and the common good it provides for our community.

Bernadette Smyth is the Executive Director of the Grant County Community Foundation. She has extensive experience as a community development specialist, project manager, and consultant, among other things.

Smyth has worked for non-profits, educational institutions, and governmental entities all over the world, including NMSU in Las Cruces. She is a native of Ireland but enjoys living in New Mexico.

Please join us before the service for a drum circle commemorating one of the four solar festivals of the year. We’ll be meeting on the Fellowship patio at 9:30 am for a Spring Equinox celebration. All are welcome. Bring your drums, rattles, bells, and other percussion instruments. Or else you can use your chanting voice and your dancing moves. No formal program - just let nature take its course!

There are speakers on the patio if you wish to enjoy the service outside.

UUFSC Safety Protocol as pursuant to our most recent UUA Guidelines:

We will not be serving food or drinks in the building until further notice. Masks will still need to be worn at all times indoors and out, except when eating or drinking. We will continue to serve refreshments on the patio, weather permitting. Visitors are always welcome.
