“Boston Hill Wildflowers 2022: The Overlooked, the Unexpected, and the Seldom Seen” – presentation by Andrew Tree, wildflower photographer, sponsored by the Gila Native Plant Society

The Gila Native Plant Society will celebrate the coming of spring with a presentation entitled “Boston Hill Wildflowers 2022: The Overlooked, the Unexpected, and the Seldom Seen” by Andrew Tree, wildflower photographer, on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The program will be presented live at Harlan Hall on the WNMU Campus in Room 111, as well as via Zoom for those who prefer to attend online. As always, the public is welcome. Anyone interested in joining in the Zoom presentation may request a link from gilanative@gmail.com

Boston Hill, the historic Silver City mining district, is now an open space of more than 500 acres. Andrew Tree, a recent newcomer to Silver City, will present a selection of his photographs taken between February and November 2022, as part of a mission to share widely the beauty of those wildflowers that are so often overlooked.

Andrew Tree is an amateur wildflower photographer and avid hiker. He relocated to Silver City from Tucson, Arizona, in October 2021 with his wife Sondra and their two dogs. Professionally, Andrew works virtually as an Executive Coach.

The Gila Native Plant Society is committed to promoting education, research and appreciation of the native flora of the Southwest; encouraging the preservation of rare and endangered plant species; and supporting the use of suitable native plants in landscaping.  For information on programs, publications and membership, please visit www.gilanps.org
