All are welcome to attend the Seventh Annual Autumn Abundance Celebration at The Commons (501 East 13th Street, Silver City, NM) on Sunday, November 12th from 10am-2pm. Throughout the day, those who have harvested mesquite pods will get their pods milled into flour using the community hammermill that has its permanent home at The Commons. Pods must be crispy dry (pods may be dried in a dehydrator, in your car, or in a low-heat oven). There is a suggested donation of $4/gallon of un-milled pods for the mesquite milling.

The free brunch will feature gluten-free mesquite-flour pancakes with prickly-pear syrup and coffee. We encourage participants to bring a potluck brunch offering to share created with wild and/or locally grown ingredients.

Those without mesquite pods to mill are very welcome to come and learn about the process, participate in sorting mesquite pods, watch the hammermill in action, and enjoy the free potluck brunch!

We will also have a table dedicated to exchanging surplus garden produce and seeds!
