PeterFletcherThe Library Concert Series continues with American classical guitarist Peter Fletcher live at The Silco Theater, Thursday November 9 at 4:00 PM. Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Library this concert is free to the public! No tickets required.

Based in Detroit and New York City, Peter performs over 50 concerts a year, and is a critically acclaimed musician who has recorded albums with Centaur Records and Towerhill Records. He has delighted audiences across the country from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Firehouse Arts Center in San Francisco.  Peter offers an audience friendly, solo recital including repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century.

The program will feature classical masterpieces such as Bach’s Chaconne and Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Three Dances from Thesaurus Harmonicus by French lutenist Jean-Baptiste Besard, Caprice No. 24 by Paganini, Four Preludes by Mexican composer Manuel Ponce, and music by Scarlatti and Villa-lobos. Listeners can also expect a unique transcription of the Allemande from Bach’s Keyboard Partita No. 4, which will be part of his all-Bach album which will be released by Centaur Records in 2024.
