There will be a Life Café Thursday, November 30, 4:00 – 5:30pm to discuss death at the Silver City Public Library, facilitated by certified death doula Lisa Jimenez. The Life Cafe will explore topics including conversations with loved ones; advance directives and other planning tools; green burials; estate planning; life celebrations; home funerals, Hospice and more. There is no intention to lead people to specific actions, conclusions, products or services. The Silver City Public Library will host a digital services workshop on Monday, December 4, 3:00 – 5:00pm. Learn how to use your library card to access free e-books; downloadable audiobooks; downloadable movies, TV, and music; language learning; and more. We’ll cover setup for Libby, hoopla, Flipster, Rocket Languages, and free access to The New York Times. We’ll discuss how to use Ancestry while in the library, too! No registration necessary. You’re invited to bring your device! We suggest that you check to make sure your library card is up-to-date before the workshop.
