Photo credit: Val WestonAfter a very successful 2023 Tapestry of Talent Fiber Art Fashion show, the SW Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) is planning the April 2024 show. The event is a fundraiser for SWFAC and showcases the variety of fabric arts practiced by the members. The items are one-of-a-kind pieces made especially for the show and include wearable art, accessories, quilts and other fiber art.

The fundraising event provides members a means to showcase their work, however, any fiber artist in the community is welcome to join SWFAC and submit work for the show. Items are juried by an experienced committee that is already hard at work planning the 2024 event.

If you are a fiber artist that makes wearable art or are a quilter, weaver, knitter, basket maker or other fiber art maker, we encourage you to join SWFAC and contribute your talent to the fashion show. Members must be signed up by February 1, 2024 to participate in the show. Email information@fiberartscollective.org  for more information.

Funds raised by the event will go to support classes, outreach to the community, and sales events. Many items in the show are available for purchase immediately after the event to show attendees.

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest.  To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another.  Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art.  Please visit SWFAC’s website at www.fiberartscollective.org to learn more about the organization.
