Open for questions, no sales available due to staff training

SILVER CITY, NM, November 28, 2023 – All offices of the Gila National Forest will be open with limited services on Wednesday, November 29 due to an all-day training for front desk staff. Staffers who will fill in to cover the front desks are not authorized to collect funds on behalf of government.

Christmas tree permits may be purchased online at Get Your Christmas Tree Permit - Recreation.gov https://www.recreation.gov/tree-permits/4271ccea-ebb8-11ea-895c-7e0f799b6940 . Maps and information are available on the Gila National Forest website at Gila National Forest - Maps and Publications  www.fs.usda.gov/main/gila/maps-pubs  including options to download geolocated maps to your phone or tablet.
