The Silver City MainStreet Project is honored to continue partnership with First American Bank on the Downtown Gift Certificate Program.

The Downtown Gift Certificate Program brings shoppers and dollars into the 130 plus Downtown Silver City businesses. Silver City MainStreet Project Executive Director, Sharla Lefkowitz-Oberg stated, “We are very grateful to First American Bank for sponsoring this program. As a local bank, they understand the value of shopping local to support our community.”

Shopping at locally owned businesses is one of the best ways to support local economy. For every dollar spent locally, 67 cents or more stays in the community. All of the businesses located in Downtown Silver City are locally owned.

The Silver City MainStreet Project urges regional residents to buy local to support the community throughout the holiday season. “Purchasing and spending Downtown Gift Certificates is a highly effective and fun way to support our local economy,” said Lefkowitz-Oberg.

“Downtown Silver City has a plethora of unique retail shops, great restaurants, and coffee houses,” Lefkowitz-Oberg added. “The Gift Certificate Program gives recipients a world of options right here in downtown Silver City. There is something for everyone!” The Downtown Guide, available at silvercitymainstreet.com/businesses-properties and at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center, provides a great tool for planning downtown shopping trips.

Downtown Gift Certificates may be purchased in $5.00, $10.00, and $25.00 denominations at the First American Bank main office located at 1609 North Swan Street, Gila Hike and Bike located at 103 East College Ave, Home Furniture located at 207 South Bullard Street, or the Murray Ryan Visitors Center located at 201 N Hudson Streets, all in Silver City.

The mission of the Silver City MainStreet Project is “to encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City that is recognized as the heart of our diverse community.” More information can be found at  silvercitymainstreet.com .
